...........Cycling in the Inner West, Rides, Tours, Advocacy
In sept this year my friend Margaret & I cycled the River Elbe in Germany from Dresden to Magdeburg, it is a very traditional German walking and cycling trip in summer with lots of 'Bier Gartens' along the river. Very enjoyable had good weather in Sept and cycling path was good and well sign posted and naturally quite flat.
It was about 360kms over 8 days with stops in Meissen Reisa Torgau Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Dessau Schoenbeck Magdeberg
Itinerary attached with details of each town along the way, all in the 'old East' GDR so was interesting to see how they have fared since reunification in 1990
The start at Dresden, an amazing city with the old part restored after the dreadfull fire bombing in WWll

Trip was booked with local operator Elbe Rad Touristik through local agent here Maggie Porter of Wanderweg Holidays
cheers
Dave & Marg
