A fun group of 15 riders attended the day
Merv and myself just back from riding 3 Rail Trails in Victoria all up 10 days for a total of 420kms, worth the 12 hour bus ride to the start at Orbost, arriving at 2.30am. A good sleep in then off on a side trip to Marlo on the coast to see where the Snowy River finally enters the sea and for a snack at the pub. Next day onto to the trail through mainly forest not great scenery but a lot of railway history along the way, many old trestle bridges have been preserved Merv was wrapped, I was…Continue
Sixteen riders arrived at the Bakehouse today for the annual ride out to La Perouse it was a glorious day great for cycling Bob Moore could not resist, even with a crook hip to ride a section. The views along the coast was good enough to entice a few of us to take a dip at the point.
Many thanks for all that made the effort, it was great to have a few new visitors we look forward to seeing you again.
Watch this space on the Lbug Website for the next…
One of our riders has cancelled due to personal reasons, so we have a bus fare that is paid to Yass

The ride starts in Canberra and finishes in Moruya, distance 172 kms of which about 90kms is good gravel road with numerous hills, MTB's preferred but touring bikes would comfortably manage subject to good weather conditions. The route from Canberra takes in the old mining towns of Captains Flat, Majors Creek, Araluen and finishing up at Moruya, if utilizing public transport from Sydney 5 days would…Continue

Six riders including a support driver set off by car under cloudy skies for Canberra, our weather guru's on the trip predicted a good first day of cycling out to Captains Flat but was not overly confidant for the remaining two days.
They were right!
It rained all night in Canberra, but we did wake up to a glorious morning, repairs to Johns bike delayed our departure before we soon set off for Captains Flat in ideal cycling conditions cool weather, blue skies, pristine…Continue
Three Lbug members attended Pedalfest last weekend, this is a fun weekend event with many rides to choose from, the ride out to Chichester Dam is very scenic with rolling hills and not to mention the muffin stops. A Koala was spotted with her baby on the Saturday scone ride how lucky was that!
This event comes highly recommended so dust off your camping gear next year and give this a go, you wont be disppointed.
